"The Patriots" (Illuminati) In Metal Gear Solid 2.

The Metal Gear Solid series has one of the most intelligent storylines in video game history, dealing with subjects such as nano technology, world politics, military technology, Terrorism, DNA manipulation, genetic engineering, espionage, and many conspiracies.

Metal Gear Solid was released to much acclaim in 1999 from both critics and players for its gameplay, graphics, storyline, and voice acting, the game had many plot points but no Illuminati like organization was ever mentioned, although government conspiracy theories were.

The much anticipated follow up, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons Of Liberty,  was released in 2001, and quicky became one of the best selling video games of all time.

In the beginning of MGS2, the main character of MGS1 was framed for blowing up an oil tanker, causing an oil spill.
The Patriots used the fake oil spill to build a base underneath a state of the art oil filtration facility.

Here are some excerpts from the game:

In this scene, it is discussed how video games brainwash some children into wanting to become a soldier.
(I know people who joined the military because of video games)

In the following scenes the "Patriots"(Illuminati) are discussed frequently

The "Patriots"(Illuminati) plants to censor the internet.

The "Patriots" control over popular culture.

The protagonists and antagonists were playing to the "Patriots" plans the whole time.

I recommend this game to anyone, not only because of this but its actually a great game, although the first game was slightly better.

  9. It has interesting ideas, but I don't know the point of thinking about such infiltration into the world. I mean, if it doesn't happen, then it's silly to think about. And if it does, then we can't do anything about it, really. So I hardly see a point to knowing that you're helpless, you know?

    1. The more you learn the more powerful you are against the ones who control this world. Figure out the signs and learn their motives that way you won't be brainwashed and when the crackdown happens you have the knowledge to escape it.

  17. Metal Gear has been one those games that seems to stand out more than all the other games I have played. Another notable one was Deus Ex and they pretty much throw the Illuminati into the plot right there in plain sight. It's these types of dark atmospheric games we don't really seem to see that often... Now gaming companies are mostly concerned about graphics, multiplayer, gimmicks, and well I keep seeing those anime visual novel with-no-plot-other-than-sex games all over Steam... It's all about controlling the masses. Kojima pretty much was sending out the message to folks. Thank you for sharing, MGS is one of the best out there.
